World Class Thinking

Benjamin Laker and Susanne Jacobs

November 25th 2019

The Leader's Code and The Science of Intrinsic Motivation

In a full-day of world-class learning and engagement we are delighted to present two leading thinkers in the form of Benjamin Laker and Susanne Jacobs. In the morning sessions, Henley's Professor Benjamin Laker outlines the beliefs, attitudes and behaviours that are linked to top performing and influential leaders. And what impact does culture, industry and business context have? Benjamin provides a rigorous evaluation of how leaders behave and how they are driven. In doing so, he reveals the code behind consistent and high-level success in leadership. His award-winning research provides solutions for the systemic hubris plaguing today's organisations; he reveals exactly how confidence can sour into overconfidence - and why it can happen to anyone.

Then after lunch Susanne Jacobs, the author of "Drivers: Creating Trust and Motivation at Work" will draw from the fields of cognitive neuroscience, psychology and evolutionary biology to address questions such as:

  • Why is there a motivation crisis and what is the impact?
  • What’s the science, and what really drives human motivation?
  • And how can we change the way we work and release energy in our business?

Please join us for an inspirational day of thought-provocation and practical ideas.
